The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on Friday announced that its decision to restrict the import of certain laptops and computers under HSN 8471 will come into effect from November 1, 2023.
After this set date by the government, no one will be allowed to import laptops, computers, and related items without a license.
DGFT in its notification stated, “Import consignments can be cleared till October 31, 2023, without a licence for restricted imports.”
