Romania is preparing for a gradual implementation of B2B and B2G electronic invoicing through its national platform RO e-Factura.
B2B e-Invoicing is mandatory as of July 2022 for for companies whose activity is linked to product categories considered high tax risk (susceptible to tax evasion), such as fruit and vegetables, alcohol, construction, mineral products, and clothing and footwear.
B2G e-Invoicing is mandatory also as of July 2022 for those companies operating with the public administration in the country.
