The 15 per cent value added tax (VAT) is not new to Fiji, says Assistant Home Affairs Minister Ratu Rakuita Vakalalabure.
Speaking in Parliament yesterday Ratu Rakuita said the 15 per cent VAT had already been applied by the former administration without exemption.
“I wish to point out that this budget has been a fair and tough one,” he said.
