- The Dutch State Secretary for Finance, Taxation, and Tax Administration published a letter to the Dutch House of Representatives on 26 June 2023 regarding the interest rate for late tax payments and tax refunds.
- The letter states that the interest rate for corporate tax and withholding tax will remain at 8% instead of being increased to 10.5% on 1 March 2023.
- The decision to maintain the 8% rate was made until amendments are made to adjust how the percentage is determined, which is expected to be implemented on 1 January 2024.
- However, the interest rate for other taxes such as income tax, inheritance tax, and payroll tax will be increased from 4% to 6% from 1 July 2023.
