- The UK government and European Commission co-chaired the Specialised Committee on the Implementation of the Windsor Framework meeting in Brussels.
- The committee took stock of the progress made since the last meeting in April, including the adoption of legislation by the EU in areas such as agri-food and customs.
- The co-chairs agreed to continue meeting regularly to ensure timely implementation of all elements of the Framework.
- They also welcomed the first meeting of the Enhanced Coordination Mechanism on VAT and Excise and confirmed their intention to organize the first meeting of the Special Body on Goods.
- The importance of engaging with Northern Ireland stakeholders was reiterated.
