On 16 June 2023 Decree No. 42(I)/2023 (available in Greek only) was published in the Cypriot official gazette, introducing changes to the requirements specified in the VAT law (available in Greek only) for the application of the reduced 5% VAT rate for the acquisition and/or construction of primary and permanent residences.
