The Ministry of Finance has launched tax consultations on the concept of implementing the institution of a VAT warehouse into the Polish legal system. The aim of the consultation is to identify industries for which VAT warehouses may prove to be an interesting solution. Opinions and comments with justification may be submitted until 3 April 2023.
EU law allows Member States to introduce solutions consisting in exempting from VAT certain transactions related to international trade in goods. The exemption may cover, m.in the supply of goods to customs warehouses, non-customs warehouses and free zones.
