The Saudi General Authority of Zakat and Tax Jan. 19 announced the Jan. 31 deadline for filing December 2022 monthly and Q4 2022 VAT returns, for business taxpayers whose annual supplies of goods and services exceed 40 million Saudi riyals (US$10.7 million). Taxpayers can file and pay through the agency’s website or smartphone application. Late returns are subject to a penalty of between 5 to 25 percent of the unpaid tax amount.
