The Norwegian Official Gazette Dec. 15 published Decision No. FOR-2022-12-13-2204, announcing VAT rates for 2023. The decision includes measures: 1) identifying the general VAT rate of 25 percent; 2) reducing the VAT rate to 15 percent for specified food items; 2) reducing the VAT rate to 12 percent for passenger and vehicle transport, room and board rentals, cinema attendance, broadcasting services, visits to museums and amusement parks, and attendance at sports events; and 3) reducing the VAT rate to 11.11 percent for wild marine resources.
