A VAT rate of 21% currently applies to the delivery and installation of solar panels on or near a home. The House of Representatives has passed a bill to reduce this VAT rate to 0% as of 1 January 2023.
If this proposal is also adopted by the Senate, you will no longer pay VAT on the supply and installation of solar panels on or near your home from 1 January 2023.
Would you like to know more about the bill and its consequences? And what this means for you, for example if you have already ordered solar panels? Or if you are a supplier or installer of solar panels? Read more about the Bill for 0% VAT for solar panels on homes from 1 January 2023 .
Have you already received a (down payment) invoice in 2022 with 21% VAT for solar panels that will be installed on or near your home in 2023? You do not have to wait to reclaim the VAT. From 1 January 2023 you can use the small business scheme (KOR). You can also read more about this at Bill for 0% VAT for solar panels on homes from 1 January 2023 .
