The services of the investment fund for the bank under the sub-participation agreement are VAT exempt, as are the granting of loans, the Court of Justice of the European Union ruled. The ruling is favorable for the banking and financial sector, as it means that banks will not be exposed to additional costs, potentially passed on to all customers.
