In its response to the government’s consultation on the proposed Single Trade Window, ICAEW’s Tax Faculty focussed on the importance of testing for a smooth launch of the new system.
As part of its 2025 UK Border Strategy published in December 2020, the UK government set out its proposal to create a Single Trade Window (STW). The aim of the STW is to create a single gateway for all transactional data from traders into government. In July 2022, the government launched a consultation to inform the design of and legislation for the STW.
