The new model of the certificate of exemption from VAT and/or excise duties, so-called certificate 151, based inter alia on the Council Implementing Regulation (EU) No 2022/432 of 15 March 2022, provides additional information in box 3, which covers two new exemptions unrelated to diplomatic missions and civilian international organisations.
The new certificate 151 is available on MyMinfin(link is external)in the 3 national languages (French, Dutch, German) and in English.
Except for the obligation since 1 July 2022 to use this modified certificate 151, nothing has changed in the current rules and procedures applicable for the exemption from VAT and/or excise duties.
