As a replacement for the current exemption from VAT, the government proposes to introduce a subsidy scheme that will reflect an exemption for purchase amounts up to NOK 500,000.
Braadland believes that the proposal in the revised national budget does not just break with the wording in the government statement from Hurdal it is also contrary to what the budget partner SV has laid down in its own party program which states “VAT shall be phased in for the purchase amount over NOK 600,000 when purchasing new electric cars”.
