Moldova has published Law No. 81 of 31 March 2022 in the Official Gazette, which exempts electronic books and periodicals from VAT. Previously, books and periodicals were only exempt from VAT if in paper form. The extension of the VAT exemption to electronic books and periodicals is effective from 15 April 2022.
