The Uruguayan Executive will send a bill to the Legislative Power in the next few hours that allows VAT to be eliminated for at least one month on bone-in strip roast, one of the most traditional cuts that exist in Uruguay. A bill should exonerate VAT on asado de tira, a popular meat cut, as the Ukraine war takes its toll on the cost of food worldwide.
