In Belgium government has been started to implement B2G e-Invoices since 2017 by regions gradually. First the regional government of Flanders for all regional entities in 2017. Continue with the federal government public authorities accept only e-Invoices in 2020. And also in the same year, the Brussels-Capital Region government has announced that businesses are required to send e-Invoices to regional entities. Most recently the Walloon government started from January 2022, invoices issued in electronic format PDF format or paper invoices no longer be accepted. Taxpayers have two options to send e-Invoices one via the Mercurius platform and submit e-Invoices manually second via the Peppol network to the public entities.
