The dispute over value added tax that has halted Scotland’s drinks containers deposit return scheme (DRS) could endanger the launch of schemes in the rest of the UK, the chief executive of Scotland’s Food and Drink Federation has said.
David Thomson told MRW that the dispute concerned VAT bring imposed on the deposit element of a drink’s price.
