France has introduced a new requirement for VAT registered foreign companies. These companies must all comply with particular new electronic requirements by submitting an e-accounting file. Previously to this only companies that were established and subject to tax audit in France and that have their accounting records using IT systems were required to submit an e-accounting file.
If companies do no not adhere to this new requirement there may be a penalty of €5000.
