As companies wrestle with how best to operate in a post-pandemic world, the tax function finds itself at a turning point on several fronts, facing a rising set of choices about technology infrastructure, operating model, and how tax teams collaborate with other functions to contribute to the success of the business.
These are some of the issues revealed in Deloitte’s recent Tax Transformation Trends Survey of 304 senior leaders— including more than 100 heads of tax and CFOs—at a range of companies across Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region. An area in sharp focus is the challenge tax functions face in forging new partnerships and how they can drive more value for the business.
