From 11:00PM on December 31, 2020, the UK introduced VAT changes affecting
businesses in the e-commerce industry, such as businesses selling goods online
and online marketplaces, which facilitate sales to UK customers. These changes
are intended to improve VAT compliance and collection seeking to maintain a level
playing field between UK and non-UK merchants.
