About 3,000 companies, classified as “large taxpayers”, will be required to submit by 2022 the so-called SAF-T (acronym for Standard Audit File for Tax), a standard audit file for taxes by which companies and tax authorities they exchange information in the digital environment. “ANAF has published the technical documentation and an XML file showing what information must be submitted monthly in a location that will be provided by ANAF. Next, in August-September, a testing period of the SAF-T, in which companies enroll voluntarily, and from January 1, 2022, the completion of the SAF-T will be mandatory for large taxpayers.
