Slovakia, Belgium and the Netherlands have helped the Spanish authorities to stop a case of large-scale VAT fraud. The Spanish treasury would have lost a total of 26 million euros in income. A number of suspects turned out to have set up mantle companies to supposedly trade goods between different European countries. But in reality, the products never went abroad.
