- On April 8, 2021, the President of the Republic of Poland signed the Act of March 30, 2021 amending the Customs Law and certain other acts, prepared by the Ministry of Finance.
- The amendment will unify and streamline the issuing of decisions regarding the calculation of customs and tax duties as well as the fuel surcharge and the emission fee in connection with the import of goods.
- The new solutions also apply to the identification of foreigners for tax purposes.
The Act introduces a number of solutions facilitating business activities related to the import of goods. It is the result of an analysis of the application of customs regulations after the implementation of the EU Customs Code in 2016, as well as a response to signals from employees and officers of the National Revenue Administration. The solutions we propose met with the approval of the economic circles involved in foreign trade
– emphasizes the head of the National Tax Administration Magdalena Rzeczkowska.
The assumption is to improve the issuing of decisions regarding customs duties, taxes and fees related to the import of goods. Our goal is also to inform the customs procedures
– adds Deputy Minister Magdalena Rzeczkowska.
