To ensure fair taxation practices EU-wide, the Commission is recommending that EU countries simplify tax obligations and ensure taxpayers’ rights are respected.
This initiative aims to improve:
- tax compliance
- relations between EU tax administrations and taxpayers (especially through greater transparency, service-orientation and use of digital technologies).
To this end, it will:
- identify/promote good administrative practice
- better coordinate the national laws related to taxpayers’ rights.
