Women’s pads, tampons, cups and other menstrual aids will fall under the lowest VAT rate. The Ministry of Finance will propose to reduce VAT on these goods from 21% to 10% through an amendment to the amendment to the VAT Act, which straightens the conditions for the import of goods from countries outside the European Union. This amendment is now being discussed by the Chamber of Deputies. The transfer of feminine hygiene products to the lowest VAT rate will take effect after the amendment is approved, probably in the spring.
