The OECD has published a new report on taxing virtual currencies which will be presented to the G20 finance ministers at their meeting on 14 October 2020. The report provides an overview of the tax treatment and emerging tax policy issues associated with virtual currencies. It also provides considerations for Governments and tax authorities to take into account when designing their tax policy frameworks for crypto-currencies.
