Differences between expected VAT revenues and revenues actually collected in EU member states are still high despite a slight improvement, and Croatia is among the most efficient countries in VAT collection, the European Commission said on Thursday.
This is probably a top three that you won’t see very often, with Croatia squeezed between two Scandinavian countries. Sweden has the smallest differences 0.7 percent, Croatia 3.5 percent, Finland 3.6 percent. Croatia collected 252 million euros less than expected VAT revenues in 2018.
