- The Democratic Republic of Congo’s Ministry of Finance has terminated the grace period for mandatory standardized invoicing (facture normalisée), setting May 15, 2026, as the strict compliance date for all businesses.
- The e-invoicing and fiscalization program, which began its pilot phase in September 2024 using e-UF and e-MCF systems, will now strictly enforce that only VAT deductions supported by standardized invoices will be permitted.
- While ending the general grace period, the MoF has introduced supporting measures, including sector-based derogations, case-by-case enforcement relief, and derogations for businesses awaiting system certification or those in sectors with pending derogation requests, to assist taxpayers still facing transition challenges.
