- The Angolan General Tax Administration (AGT) met with various associative entities to address taxpayer concerns, including the mass suspension of Tax Identification Numbers (NIFs), challenges with electronic invoicing, VAT refunds, and issues with AGT’s technological systems.
- Key resolutions from the meeting include an automatic lifting of NIF suspensions within 30 days upon rectification of irregularities, improvements to the VAT reimbursement system within 30 days to ensure easier reporting and higher approval rates, and the non-imposition of penalties for late submission of the SAF-T – Inventory Map file for the 2025 financial year.
- AGT also committed to establishing Exclusive Service Desks for Accountants, improving mechanisms for exercising the right to be heard in administrative tax litigation, and implementing measures to facilitate electronic invoicing compliance and database updates for Motor Vehicle Tax.
