Fiscal cash registers on the railway from 1 January 2027

• The Sejm has approved a law delaying the requirement for railway carriers to use cash registers from January 1, 2026, to April 1, 2027, as part of an amendment to the Act on Public Transport.
• The vote resulted in 233 MPs in favor and 200 against, with no abstentions, and the bill will now be forwarded to the Senate for further consideration.
• This postponement aligns the new deadline with the implementation of tax regulations requiring the recording of sales with cash registers, and the law will take effect the day after its publication.
