- Tax Changes and Introductions: Poland has launched mandatory B2B e-invoicing for large taxpayers, while Lebanon plans to increase its Value Added Tax from 11% to 12% pending parliamentary approval. Additionally, Ecuador has temporarily reduced VAT for tourist services from 15% to 8% during the Carnival holiday.
- New Tax Measures and Regulations: Gibraltar will implement a 15% Transaction Tax on goods starting April 10, 2026, as part of a post-Brexit agreement. Sweden is proposing stronger checks on VAT registrations to combat fraud, and Belgium will see its VAT rate on furnished accommodation and campsites double from 6% to 12% starting March 1, 2026.
- E-Invoicing Developments: Ireland confirmed a phased rollout of mandatory e-invoicing and real-time VAT reporting beginning in 2028, while Greece has postponed mandatory electronic invoicing for large enterprises to March 2, 2026. Italy has also adjusted its reporting requirements, raising the threshold for submitting the INTRA-2 bis form for intra-EU purchases from €350,000 to €2 million. Cameroon announced mandatory e-invoicing as part of its 2026 Finance Law.
