The conference will focus on the recent case law of the CJEU in the area of VAT. The most relevant judgments rendered in 2025 will be analyzed by panels consisting of leading academics and judges as well as government and business representatives. In a special spotlight session on the first day, judges from the General Court (GC) will reflect on the first VAT cases dealt within the new preliminary ruling chambers.
The conference will start with a welcome reception and book presentation on the evening of March 10, 2026 at the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law, WU. The working sessions will be held all day on March 11 and 12, 2026 in Ceremonial hall 1, LC Building on the WU campus.
