- Mandatory Import Authorization: Importers must apply for Import Authorization under the IMS through the DGFT portal for restricted IT hardware imports during the Calendar Year 2026.
- Application Window: The IMS application portal is open from December 22, 2025, to December 15, 2026, allowing importers to submit multiple applications as needed.
- Validity and Amendments: Import Authorizations will be valid until December 31, 2026, and importers can request amendments to their authorization during its validity period, with DGFT retaining the right to modify or withdraw the procedure at any time.
