- Oman is implementing a national e-invoicing program aimed at transitioning from paper and PDF invoices to standardized electronic invoices, which will be legally recognized and must be generated from approved electronic systems with a digital certificate for verification.
- The e-invoicing process will follow a 5-Corner Model, involving secure exchanges between suppliers, accredited service providers, buyers, and the tax authority, ensuring that invoice data is transmitted and acknowledged throughout the process.
- The rollout of the e-invoicing program will occur in four phases from August 2026 to February 2028, requiring businesses to prepare in advance by standardizing invoicing workflows, enhancing data quality, and integrating their systems with accredited service providers to ensure compliance.
