- The federal government accounts in Belgium will be transferred from bpost to BNP Paribas Fortis over the weekend of December 13-14, 2025, which may temporarily affect payment transfers during this period.
- While the IBAN for all federal accounts will remain unchanged, payments from abroad will require the new BIC code for BNP Paribas Fortis (GEBABEBB) starting December 15, 2025; users should update their records accordingly.
- To prevent declined transfers, it is advised to avoid initiating any payments between December 12 and 14, 2025, and to schedule urgent payments either before December 12 or after December 15, ensuring payment settings are reviewed as necessary.
