Switch to New EU Portal for Customs Applications and CBAM Access Starting 2026

  • From 2026, authentication and authorization for certain EU customs applications and CBAM will switch from the national portal (USP) to the EU’s central UUM&DS system.
  • Affected applications include the EU Customs Trader Portal (AEO, Binding Tariff Information, Registered Exporter) and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
  • Access requires an EU Login account and submitting an application form provided by the BMF.
  • Applications must be submitted by November 30, 2025, for continued access.
  • Access to the national customs portal via USP remains unchanged.
