Sri Lanka has delayed the implementation of an 18% VAT on digital services provided by non-resident businesses, originally set for October 1, 2025, to April 1, 2026. This new tax aims to level the playing field between foreign and local digital service providers and will apply to services such as streaming, apps, e-books, and internet services.
