The Swiss customs authority (BAZG) is planning to replace the current ZAZ-Account (centralized accounting for import tax and duties) with a new GP-ID (Business Partner-ID) as part of its IT modernization program, DaziT/Passar 2.0. This change is linked to the individual company transition from e-dec Import to Passar Import. The replacement is expected to begin starting in 2026, with the current planning window being between mid-2026 and the end of 2027, although delays are possible. Companies and their freight forwarders who use the CSP-Account should study the available information, follow developments, and coordinate with their partners. As concrete steps are not yet necessary, it is currently recommended to simply be prepared for future changes.
