Mandatory B2B e-Invoicing and e-Reporting for Slovak VAT Companies by 2027

  • Mandatory B2B E-Invoicing & E-Reporting by Jan 1, 2027: All VAT-registered companies in Slovakia must issue and receive structured electronic invoices (EN 16931) and report transactions in real time, aligning with the EU’s ViDA initiative.
  • B2G & G2G E-Invoicing Already Operational: Since April 2023, Slovakia has used the IS EFA platform for mandatory electronic invoicing between businesses and public entities, ensuring transparency and automation in public procurement.
  • Three-Stage Rollout Ending July 2030: Domestic B2B e-invoicing starts in 2027, followed by intra-community transaction reporting by July 2030, with Slovakia’s Financial Administration becoming the national Peppol Authority to support decentralized invoice exchange.
