Greece’s Ministry of Finance is consulting on a draft law to implement the EU small business VAT scheme for cross-border supplies, aligning with Council Directive (EU) 2020/285 to simplify VAT registration.
-
The scheme allows businesses established in other EU states to claim VAT registration exemptions in Greece if their turnover is below EUR 10,000 locally and EUR 100,000 across the EU.
-
Similarly, Greek small businesses can benefit from VAT exemptions in other EU countries, provided they meet the respective local thresholds and do not exceed EUR 100,000 in total EU turnover.
