Mozambique reintroduces VAT exemption on sugar, cooking oil, and soap, including their raw materials and production inputs, effective from 30 May to 31 December 2025.

The measure aims to reduce production costs and support the sugar, edible oil, and soap industries, following the expiry of a similar exemption in December 2023.
