1. Alabama Local Tax Adjustments
Various counties and jurisdictions in Alabama will update their sales and use tax rates, as announced by the Alabama Department of Revenue, effective June 1, 2025.
2. Florida Hillsborough County Surtax Resumption
After a temporary suspension, Hillsborough County will reinstate discretionary surtaxes on June 1, 2025, increasing the combined sales tax rate from 6.5% back to 7.5%.
3. Louisiana St. Landry Parish Rate Reductions
Several jurisdictions in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, will reduce their combined local sales and use tax rates starting June 1, 2025, including Opelousas and surrounding areas.
4. SST Member States Updates
Ohio and Nevada released new boundary files and rate updates as part of the Streamlined Sales Tax initiative to simplify tax collection across participating states effective June 2025.
