The proposed VAT rate increase for culture, sports, and media from 9% to 21% in 2026 has been cancelled following an investigation prompted by the House of Representatives, keeping the 9% rate in place.

Transitional arrangements are postponed, allowing the 9% VAT rate to continue applying to single-use vouchers and payments made after June 30, 2025, for services rendered in 2026.
