California Government Gavin Newsom has announced the filing of a lawsuit challenging the Trump Administration’s tariffs. In the lawsuit, Governor Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta argue that President Trump lacks the authority to impose tariffs under the International Economic Emergency Powers Act, which has led to economic disruption and inflated costs.
