- The One Stop Shop (OSS) is an EU initiative launched on July 1, 2021, designed to simplify VAT compliance for cross-border e-commerce sellers by allowing them to handle VAT matters through a single registration in one member state, covering all EU countries.
- OSS offers three registration options: Union OSS for EU-based sellers, Non-Union OSS for non-EU sellers providing services, and Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) for importing goods valued up to €150, streamlining the VAT filing and payment processes.
- The OSS system enables sellers to submit quarterly VAT returns online, pay VAT to their registered country’s tax authority, and benefit from reduced compliance costs and risks while expanding their market reach across multiple EU countries.
