- Mandatory VAT Record Submission: Starting July 2025, all companies registered for VAT in Slovenia will be required to submit VAT records in a structured format to the Slovenian Financial Administration (FURS), marking a significant move towards digital tax compliance.
- Implementation of B2B E-Invoicing: A draft law for mandatory B2B electronic invoicing has been proposed, set to take effect on January 1, 2027. This legislation will apply to all taxpayers and facilitate the exchange of electronic invoices through registered providers, the Peppol network, or direct systems, allowing formats such as the national e-SLOG standard and European standard EN 16931.
- Advancements in B2G E-Invoicing: Since 2015, Slovenia has mandated electronic invoicing for transactions with public administration. The system allows for the submission of e-invoices in specific formats and requires that all electronic documents for the public sector be exchanged through the Public Payments Administration, enhancing the efficiency and transparency of tax processes.
