- Mandatory Use of eVAT Portal: Starting January 2025, all businesses in Liechtenstein must process VAT transactions exclusively through the newly launched eVAT portal, officially ending paper submissions and previous digital methods.
- Comprehensive Functionality: The eVAT portal facilitates VAT registration, deregistration, billing (including corrections), applications, and account management, streamlining the VAT-related processes for businesses.
- Access Requirements: To use the portal, businesses must obtain eID.li for secure identification, activate eRepresentation for managing VAT authorizations, and register for the eVAT portal. Companies not in the commercial register and those registered solely for acquisition tax liability must follow additional application procedures.
