- Terms of Reference: The GoM will focus on several areas, including state-wise revenue trend analysis, the impact of economic factors on GST revenue, integration of anti-evasion and compliance tools, and making policy recommendations to enhance revenue, particularly for states experiencing significant shortfalls.
- Background and Administration: This reconstitution follows discussions in the GST Council’s 55th meeting, and the Department of Revenue will provide secretarial support. Previous office memoranda related to the revenue analysis have been superseded by this new directive.
