- Implementation of Peppol BIS Billing 3: The Swedish Customs Authority (Tullverket) will adopt the Peppol BIS Billing 3 format for invoicing customs, taxes, and fees, effective March 1, 2025, replacing the current invoicing infrastructure.
- Customer Actions Required: Customers previously receiving invoices via EDI must connect to the Peppol Network using a Peppol-accredited service provider and register their Peppol ID with the customs authority starting March 3, 2025, to continue receiving electronic invoices automatically.
- Continued Availability of PDF Invoices: While Peppol invoices will be the new standard, customers can still access customs bills in PDF format through the e-services available on the Customs Authority’s website, ensuring a transition period for users.
